Accreditations and Affiliations

NCFE is a registered educational charity and Awarding Organisation that designs, develops and certificates nationally recognised qualifications. NCFE CACHE qualifications offered by BSY are regulated by Ofqual in England.

CACHE is continually investing in high quality qualifications for the care and education industry, making it the UK’s leading sector specialist. Developed by experts, its qualifications have helped millions of learners raise professional standards across the sector. CACHE has gained a reputation for excellence and leadership. In 2015 CACHE became part of NCFE.

Training Qualifications UK (TQUK) is an Ofqual-regulated Awarding Organisation and End-Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) offering a wide range of vocational qualifications and apprenticeships. BSY has been approved as a recognised centre of TQUK, meaning that we have satisfied the requirements of TQUK’s centre approval processes and are able to deliver their regulated qualifications.

OCN Credit4Learning (OCNOTC) is a nationally recognised external awarding body. Successfully completing an OCN accredited course with BSY enables you to gain additional recognition for the skills you have learnt. OCN Credit4Learning credits are also accepted as a means of entry to further education and university education.

OCN Credit4Learning (OCNOTC) is an Access Validating Agency (AVA) licensed by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for Higher Education. It is regulated by the Qualification and Curriculum Authority (QCA).

BSY has undergone an external quality check to ensure that we and the courses we offer under the Quality Licence Scheme, meet defined quality criteria. The Quality Licence Scheme, endorses high-quality, non-regulated provision and training programmes.

The completion of these courses alone may be used as evidence of knowledge and skills gained. The Learner Unit Summary may be used as evidence towards Recognition of Prior Learning if you wish to progress your studies in this subject. To this end the learning outcomes of the course have been benchmarked at Level 2, 3 or 4 against level descriptors published by Ofqual, to indicate the depth of study and level of demand/complexity involved in successful completion by the learner.

The courses have been designed by BSY to meet specific learners’ and/or employers’ requirements which cannot be satisfied through current regulated qualifications. Courses that include Quality Licence Scheme Certificate of Achievements are not regulated by Ofqual and are not accredited qualifications.

Quality Licence Scheme endorsement involves robust and rigorous quality audits by external auditors to ensure quality is continually met. A review of courses is carried out as part of the endorsement process.

Successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from Quality Licence Scheme and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).

The Guild of Beauty Therapists accredits relevant BSY courses. When you have successfully completed your course you are eligible for full Guild membership and entitled to use the letters MGPBT after your name. The Guilds of Beauty Therapists is the UK’s largest professional beauty trade association with a strict code of ethics.

BSY is a member college of the ADLC and have agreed to abide by a rigorous code of ethics to give you an assurance of quality and fair dealing.

The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Integrated Healthcare (PGIH) is an All-Party Group based at Westminster. It has been in existence for over 30 years, starting life as the Parliamentary Group for Alternative and Complementary Medicine. It was formed because there was little awareness in Parliament about issues surrounding complementary, traditional and natural healthcare. Much progress has been made thanks to the work of the Parliamentary Group over many years, and the issue of integrated healthcare now has a substantial profile in Parliament.

Membership of the AHCP demonstrates that you have been trained to an appropriate level and follow a code of practice. The association also incorporates a new yoga arm containing a yoga teacher register for access by the general public.

BSY is proud to sponsor the AHCP. Membership of the AHCP allows you to use the letters AHCP (Reg) after your name and the AHCP logo on business stationery.

CIMSPA membership recognises your professional status, helps you achieve your career ambitions and gives you a range of additional benefits.

In order to continue practising as a fitness professional it is very important to maintain your professional status and recognition through membership of the industry directory. Joining CIMSPA will also give you access to a host of fantastic membership benefits.

Successful completion of the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (Gym-Based Exercise) or the NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training will enable you to join CIMSPA.

If you successfully complete our Yoga Teacher (Hatha Yoga) course, you will be eligible for CIMSPA Yoga Instructor Associate Membership which provides employers and the public with confidence that you have satisfied the comprehensive training requirements to safely deliver instruction and education in yoga practices and principles.
