Comments on the BSY counselling courses

For those who are wondering whether a BSY course would suit their needs, we thought it may be helpful to read the comments of those who have already joined our family of students.  By reading their experiences, whether from a counselling course, or other BSY course, you will be able to decide whether BSY counselling training might meet your needs too.

Karen Jebson-Tricker enrolled on the counselling course ‘Basic Counselling Skills’.  She chose this course because ‘I have spent a lot of my life counselling people and realised people were coming to me for a reason.  This course is the preface to gaining a qualification that I can take forward as a career.’  Karen decided to enrol with BSY as ‘the material was easy to understand and BSY offer a great range.  Every time I have needed to speak to anyone they have been fantastic.’  Karen feels that the qualification may help her in future to ‘gain a qualification in counselling which I can build a career on’.  She intends ‘to be a counsellor once qualified’.  Offering advice to those who may be thinking of studying with BSY, Karen says ‘Do it!  I’ve had some big delays personally in getting my course done.  I was working full time, caring for a dementia patient and studying banking exams (unexpectedly).  BSY never pressured me at all.  I am now back seriously studying and am very grateful that BSY were one area that put no pressure on my life.’

Anita Jones decided to enrol on a counselling course with BSY.  She chose the Basic Counselling Skills course as ‘I want to help people who are suffering to be able to move forward and lead happy, healthy lives again’.  Anita chose to study because ‘it is good value for money and I also needed to be able to study from home.  After looking into other “home study” courses I found BSY to be the best.’  Anita would consider studying the Advanced Counselling Course from BSY in future.  If you are thinking of studying with BSY then Anita’s advice would be to ‘definitely choose BSY.  The layout of work is easy to follow, the questions are easy to read and not complicated and it’s good to know there are tutors on hand if you need them.’  Anita agreed that she would ‘recommend BSY to a friend’ and the ‘BSY course advisors are helpful’.

Feedback on BSY yoga courses

If you are considering a yoga course from BSY then it may be useful to read comments from those students who have enrolled previously.  You can then decide whether a BSY yoga course would be suitable for your requirements.  Equally, if you are currently studying one of BSY’s yoga courses, then reading the feedback of fellow students may offer inspiration during your own studies.

Michele Burton enrolled on the Yoga Teacher – Hatha Yoga course.  Michele enrolled on this yoga course as ‘I currently teach Birthlight baby yoga and am constantly asked if I teach adult yoga.  I also feel I would like to learn more about yoga to enhance my lessons and introduce adult yoga into my programme.’

Elaine Bass most recently took the BSY Ashtanga Yoga course.  Elaine said that ‘I have found the courses interesting and motivating.  The course work is very clearly set out, enabling me to learn and take into my classes.  Now I want to take the learning further.  I will probably enrol on more courses.’  Elaine has been most happy ‘that all the courses complement each other.  It is also good for me to be able to pay for the course over a period of time.  Whenever I have required any help, I just had to pick up the phone.’

Sharon Graham enrolled on the yoga teacher course.  Sharon decided to enrol on this course as she wants to ‘teach yoga classes and this was the best value for money course I could find which met my requirements’.  Asked whether Sharon could suggest any improvements to her yoga course, she commented ‘no, I think the course is perfect’.  Sharon feels that ‘there is enough information in each lesson for it to be enjoyable but not exhausting’.  Commenting on the service she has received, Sharon was most happy ‘when I rang for advice, I was delighted with the help I received, the tutor was helpful and friendly’.  For more information, please click on the link to visit the yoga course page.

Gemma Rawlinson took her yoga course (Hatha Yoga Teacher) because she ‘would like to teach yoga in a health spa/gym’.  ‘I’m only a little way through my course but I think the level of learning and understanding is challenging but achievable – and that is why I’m enjoying it.’  Commenting on her yoga course, Gemma said ‘so far, I’m happy with the course material and the fact that I am challenging myself.  It is great also that help from experts at BSY is only a phone call away.’ Our friendly course advisors can answer questions you may have about our yoga courses, or other subjects.  Please call Freephone 0800 731 9271 or 01409 220 400.  Alternatively, you can browse our website for more information on our range of over 300 courses.  BSY began over 60 years ago and is now the UK’s Number One Complementary Therapy College.

Sharon Kidd has enrolled on several BSY courses and explained that she has a ‘wish to continue’ studying with BSY.  Sharon recently enrolled on the Incense and Magical Oils course which is available within the Mind, Body, Spirit course category of the website.
