Course overview

Mediation is an effective method of conflict resolution in the workplace and in domestic and neighbourhood disputes. Mediation aims to arrive at a solution where there are no winners and losers but an agreed outcome that is negotiated through discussion.  This course gives you a valuable insight into the mediation process and how people benefit, and examines many of the skills and qualities required by a mediator. You will learn about communication skills, building rapport with clients, and the importance of confidentiality, empathy and respect.
