This course is designed to develop knowledge, understanding, and competence in various IT areas. It will encourage you to think about different ways IT can be utilised, introducing specific tools to enhance everyday life. You will learn to select the best software and tools for specific tasks, aiming to improve productivity and efficiency. The course covers the importance of IT security, addressing issues such as unwanted emails, spam, computer viruses, and firewalls. It also includes an introduction to presentation and spreadsheet software, with assessments on your understanding and use of these applications. Please note: Competency will be assessed through data files or screenshots of completed work.

Prerequisites
To complete this course, access to a computer is essential, and a basic level of IT knowledge is recommended. Confidence in producing documents using Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is beneficial, as these skills will be part of your assessment. This course is not for beginners or those without regular computer access. Access to a computer and the Microsoft Office suite is required to complete the course.
Learners should be at least 16 to undertake this qualification.
Level
On successful completion of this course you will achieve TQUK Level 2 Certificate in IT User Skills qualification.
The TQUK Level 2 Certificate in IT User Skills is a regulated qualification. This means it is a nationally recognised qualification, regulated by Ofqual in England.
This qualification is ideal for individuals who use IT in their current job roles and are familiar with computers and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)..
