Nutrition courses that could change your life

BSY is the UK’s Number One Complementary Therapy College.  Complementary therapy courses include massage, reflexology and aromatherapy.  In addition, BSY offer students the opportunity to study a number of nutrition courses.  To help give you more information on what to expect when you enrol, we received feedback from some of our students.  They can give you a useful insight into what they think of the course and why they chose to study it.

Tessa Price took Nutrition and Weight Consultancy because ‘I wanted to help myself by learning about nutrition…  Hopefully in the future, I would like to help others with their weight and knowledge of nutrition.’  She chose to study with BSY as ‘after a lot of internet research, I found it to be the only one to cover a lot of different topics/areas and was the best value for money, also with the easy payment plan.’  Commenting on her studies, Tessa highlighted that ‘…I have only started my course, but I have learnt so much already’.  Tessa also explained that she was ‘very happy with the course as it is.  I don’t have any improvements to suggest.’  If you are thinking of studying with BSY, Tessa would tell you ‘…just do it.  You’ll enjoy.’  Tessa also agrees that ‘the BSY course advisors are helpful’ and ‘BSY courses are excellent value for money’.

Rebecca Devitt studied the same subject as Tessa and explained that she decided to enrol with BSY as ‘the lessons are clear and easy to follow, there is no pressure, excellent support and brilliant value for money’.  Rebecca explained that she has been most happy with ‘the easy to follow lessons and feedback from the tutor’.  Rebecca would like to study a range of subjects in the future, including Anatomy and Physiology, Nutritional Therapy and Living Foods Nutrition.  If you are considering becoming part of the BSY family of students, Rebecca would advise you to ‘go for it’.  Rebecca also agrees that she would ‘recommend BSY to a friend’ and that ‘studying with BSY is convenient’.

You can receive more information about BSY, including details of the subjects available and what it is like to study with us (including how you can learn from the comfort of your own home, and complete your chosen subject at your own pace), please call our advisors on Freephone 0800 731 9271 or 01409 220 400. You can also learn more about the nutrition courses available by reading about them online.

Beauty courses to enhance your life

There is a vast array of beauty courses available to study with us at BSY.  Beyond the obvious skills of skin care and make-up that you can gain, there are beauty courses available covering various subjects such as manicure and pedicure, anti-ageing and make-up artist.

Sarah Jane Hanson is currently studying Professional Make-up.  She said that she felt she wanted to develop her skills within the creative make-up industry and has enjoyed doing face painting and special effects make-up for a long time as a general hobby.  She said, “the course has allowed me to learn the technical knowledge about make-up and how to practically use that knowledge”.  She also said that she feels that BSY provides a convenient way to learn as it fits in with the student’s own lifestyle so that they can learn at their own pace, and that the tutors give excellent feedback and provide great guidance.  She said, “everything is just perfect for my situation”.  She was happy with the way the lessons are sent to her one at a time, saying that she feels that learning in small chunks is much easier.  To anybody else considering studying with BSY, Sarah Jane says that they should go for it as there is nothing to lose but a qualification to gain.  “Learning at its best in the comfort of your own home.”  She also said that studying with BSY allows you to learn something new, and it inspires you to do so.

Moving towards his career dream of running and owning a spa led to Barrie Reis-Seymour enrolling to study to be both a Foot Specialist and Beauty Specialist.  He said he felt that training in these beauty subjects would provide the ideal additions to his existing skills and qualifications, and promised to cover everything he was looking for.  He had previously also studied Acupressure, Nutritional Therapy, Massage and Aromatherapy.  He said that he had chosen BSY because of its well respected reputation and its terrific range of options.  He said that he thought that the content, pace and support were perfect.  He now would like to start practising as a Beauty and Foot Therapist, and to start to build up his clientele, thus leading to his own therapy business.  In the future he would also consider learning about Hopi Ear Candling, Crystals and Reiki.

If you would like to find out more about BSY’s range of beauty courses, then please call our tutors and advisors on Freephone 0800 731 9271.  They are always available to discuss the best course to suit you.
