How Reflexology Training helps provide our students with additional skills

Having regular Reflexology treatments herself made Louise Schultz curious.  She said that she was fascinated by how it works with the body and decided that she would like to study the subject so that she could learn more about it.  She chose to study with BSY because of the choice of courses available, and also because of the reviews she read from previous students.  It was also important to her to be able to study at home and in her own time.  She said she was happy with “the ease of studying in my own time and the promptness of sending back the marked assignment and next questions.”  She has decided that she can gain even more from her studies by highlighting key areas in her manual and also by planning her studying sessions on a weekly basis.  Originally from a teaching background, Louise’s Reflexology Training has now made her keen to look more at alternative therapies and she is considering Aromatherapy Training in the future.  To anyone considering studying with BSY, she says “just do it!  You get a great amount of support and the ease of being able to fit it in around a busy life is great as there are no time limits.”  She commented that over all, it was a great, in-depth, thorough course at an affordable price.

Karen Hudson decided to enrol for Reflexology Training.  She also enrolled on BSY’s Anatomy and Physiology course as she wanted to improve her knowledge.  She said that she currently holds a level 2 diploma and needed an up to date perception of Anatomy and Physiology.  She works as a Beauty and Holistic Therapist and has her own business, and chose to study with BSY because of the good name promoted and the flexibility it offers as she works up to 50 hours a week.   Karen is also a qualified lecturer and NVQ assessor, and now teaches Reiki and Beauty as well.  She was particularly happy with the flexibility of her courses, and the monthly payment plan, and has recommended BSY to her friends – one of whom intended enrolling on BSY’s counselling courses.  She said that her studies had provided her with more knowledge to use within her career, and her Reflexology Training enabled her to offer Reflexology as an additional treatment.  She said that she will definitely be studying other courses with BSY in the future, although she hadn’t yet decided which one – she commented that there was so much choice, which was fantastic!

Why our students choose Nutrition courses

BSY offers various courses covering the many different ways that food and diet can affect our lives, with subjects ranging from weight loss to the value of different foods in our diet.

Hannah Lodder is studying Nutrition and Weight Consultancy because she wants to start a Fitness and Nutritional business, and also because she loves to learn about how the body works.  She said, “BSY have loads of different courses.  There is a lot to pick from.”  She added that they are very informative, you can do it in your own time, and support is there when you need it.

Sandra Stafford commented that she believes it is beneficial to other holistic therapies to understand the role food has in our wellbeing.  She added, “I would like to be able to advise clients on how they can improve their diets.”  Sandra chose to study with BSY because it gives the student flexibility to fit study in to a busy schedule and also because BSY has a good reputation.  In addition, she was impressed on initial contact with the information that she was given, and the person giving it.  Since enrolling with BSY she has been happy with the professionalism of BSY and the content of the lessons, and would consider studying other subjects related to food, relaxation and lifestyle.  To anybody thinking of studying with BSY, she says, “the cost is so reasonable, the study so straightforward, there are no stressful deadlines – so what’s to lose?”

Being a freelance chef, Caroline Wilson wanted to understand more about the food and body relationship.  She chose one of BSY’s courses because it covered everything she wanted to learn and was flexible at a reasonable price.  She said, “I really like the fact it is very in depth, as many other courses I looked at were not.”  In future she feels that her studies will provide her with more knowledge when cooking, and help clients to use food to benefit their lifestyles, and teach them how to be more nutritious.  In future, she would like to learn more about this subject, and would love to study Sport and maybe Vegetarian Nutrition.  She would advise anyone else considering studying with BSY to “look at the samples of the course as it was great for me to see how much was covered and compare other similar courses with BSY to see which one is right for you.  And then book!!”

Reina Kaur Sohanta decided to study Aromatherapy, which combines the benefits with the use of therapeutic essential oils.  She said that she wants to change career paths and she knows that this will give her opportunities and the skills “which will enable me to soar and flourish beyond my wildest dreams.”  Reina chose to study with BSY because, “the tuition, the support and the rate of success from qualified/graduated students is par excellence.”   She said that she has been happy with her ability to absorb information which is presented in such a clear, precise format and manner, and hopes that it will help her to become a competent, confident aromatherapist.
