Comments on the BSY counselling courses

For those who are wondering whether a BSY course would suit their needs, we thought it may be helpful to read the comments of those who have already joined our family of students.  By reading their experiences, whether from a counselling course, or other BSY course, you will be able to decide whether BSY counselling training might meet your needs too.

Karen Jebson-Tricker enrolled on the counselling course ‘Basic Counselling Skills’.  She chose this course because ‘I have spent a lot of my life counselling people and realised people were coming to me for a reason.  This course is the preface to gaining a qualification that I can take forward as a career.’  Karen decided to enrol with BSY as ‘the material was easy to understand and BSY offer a great range.  Every time I have needed to speak to anyone they have been fantastic.’  Karen feels that the qualification may help her in future to ‘gain a qualification in counselling which I can build a career on’.  She intends ‘to be a counsellor once qualified’.  Offering advice to those who may be thinking of studying with BSY, Karen says ‘Do it!  I’ve had some big delays personally in getting my course done.  I was working full time, caring for a dementia patient and studying banking exams (unexpectedly).  BSY never pressured me at all.  I am now back seriously studying and am very grateful that BSY were one area that put no pressure on my life.’

Anita Jones decided to enrol on a counselling course with BSY.  She chose the Basic Counselling Skills course as ‘I want to help people who are suffering to be able to move forward and lead happy, healthy lives again’.  Anita chose to study because ‘it is good value for money and I also needed to be able to study from home.  After looking into other “home study” courses I found BSY to be the best.’  Anita would consider studying the Advanced Counselling Course from BSY in future.  If you are thinking of studying with BSY then Anita’s advice would be to ‘definitely choose BSY.  The layout of work is easy to follow, the questions are easy to read and not complicated and it’s good to know there are tutors on hand if you need them.’  Anita agreed that she would ‘recommend BSY to a friend’ and the ‘BSY course advisors are helpful’.

Feedback from students on our counselling courses and more

BSY students have provided us with feedback on the courses they are studying.  We hope that by sharing the comments that they have made, it will give others an insight into what it would be like to join our family of students.

Dee Greenaway most recently enrolled on the Native American Teachings course.  You can find this course within the Mind, Body, Spirit section of the website.  The reason she enrolled on this course was because ‘I want to further my interest in all things Native American.  But I plan to open a spiritual outlet/unit and want relevant courses behind me to aid in that and give confidence to my clients.’  Commenting on BSY courses, Dee said ‘I have completed several distance learning courses in the past and this BSY course is far superior in content, support, presentation and turnaround.’  Giving feedback on the BSY courses she had taken, Dee said that ‘they are well presented, easy to follow and cover a whole range of subject matter.  The turnaround time for completion/marking is excellent – highly recommended.’

Kristi Wood enrolled on our counselling course ‘Counselling Skills – Advanced’, which you can read more about in the counselling course section of the website.  This counselling course is for those who wish to study at a Practitioner level.  Kirsti felt that she had ‘enjoyed learning at my own pace.  The courses are enjoyable and the tutor support is very helpful.’  Kirsti decided to enrol on the counselling course from BSY as she may wish to make a ‘possible career change to counselling’. She was most happy with ‘the layout of the material/lessons’.  She rated the BSY courses she had taken as ‘Excellent’.

Susan Snape has studied many courses with BSY.  Susan recently enrolled on the Crystal Healing – Advanced course, Homoeopathy course and Psychic Development course.  Susan said that she has ‘found them very interesting, a confidence booster and a means of relaxing.  When I have a query I found the tutors and other members of staff easy to talk to and quick to reply.’  Susan has been most happy with ‘the fact that I don’t feel alone.  Any problems and I know I will be taken seriously and dealt with quickly, efficiently and expertly, hence I keep coming back.’

Cate Johnson enrolled on the Meditation Teacher course (which is found within the complementary therapy section of the website).  Cate decided to take this course as she ‘wanted to be able to teach meditation to all age groups, particularly children within school.  I felt this course suited my needs perfectly.’  Cate commented that she has ‘found the course easy to manage due to its flexibility.’  She has ‘thoroughly enjoyed the studying in its ‘easy to follow’ format.  [This] has left me wanting to continue studying with you.’
